Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR)
Sign up for DPR Camps! DPR will offer Summer Camp activities including swimming, field trips, creative activities and new experiences in the District of Columbia. Please sign up at the DPR Summer camp website.

Research shows that students who don’t participate in summer learning activities lose ground over the summer compared to peers who do. DCPS offers academic summer programs in order for students to be prepared for the following school year.

DC Public Charter Schools
More than a dozen public charter schools will offer enrichment, credit recovery and summer bridge programming (for new students) this summer. Most summer programs at public charter schools begin in late June. Families should contact individuals schools for sign-up. For more information, please visit www.dcpcsb.org.
Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP)
The Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program provides District youths ages 14-24 with meaningful summer work experience and support to help them find a career pathway.
